As you have hopefully noticed (if you are a long time reader at least) I have a new theme and I am very happy with it. This is a premium theme (meaning I had to pay for it rather than a free one). However, despite this cost and the cost of webhosting, blogging is still cheaper than many other hobbies I’ve had (musical instruments aren’t cheap you know) and I’ve already derived a lot of pleasure and learnt a lot from it.
Free Blog adverts
Part of this themes features are some nice ad plug-ins. Now I know that you don’t want me to advertise to you and, although the idea of earning a little extra cash appeals to me, I don’t like the idea of advertising to you either. However, there are other ways to use these ads.
I want to put up ads for YOUR blogs, for free!
This is going to be a continually changing system so every month or so I’ll change the blogs I feature and have some different ways to get your blog featured. There are up to four slots.
So how can you get your blog featured?
To start I have chosen some of my favourite blogs and asked them for an image to put up so I can plug my favourite ones.

Over the next week I’ll put up a review of each blog and why they’ve made my ads for the first month.
In the future though I will use different methods to choose the blogs to go in the pictures. My current thoughts are to once a month run some system for choosing who is included, be that best comment/most comments/Guest posts or just randomly choosing. I really haven’t finalised exactly the details and am open to suggestions for ideas (which ironically would probably get you featured).
For the next change though I do have an idea which I’ll tell you about at the end of the month.
Anything else?
I make no promises that this will stay for ever, Ads take up space and whilst I prefer a minimal approach, if there is a widget that does a valuable job I’ll replace them.
However, IF I decided to change the system then I’ll certainly post a notification to let you know I have done this.
